Mattie is one of the original founders of both a club and a convention. The Delaware Anime society (www.delawareanimesociety.com), founded in 2004, is a multi-chaptered anime club which meets monthly at each of 3 locations in Delaware (Dover and Wilmington) and Pennsylvania (Philadelphia) to watch anime, play video games, and engage in various other activites related to the anime fandom. Zenkaikon, founded in 2006, is a celebration of anime, comics, sci-fi, gaming and fandom and is happening from March 22-24,2013 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania (
