Zenkaikon 2025 Part 2: Isekai Delivery Service

Cinna Knight Zenkaikon is a multi-genre convention specializing in geeky themes such as anime, gaming, and sci-fi. Anime took the center stage at this Pennsylvania convention, though indie animation is going quite strong, too! Along with the usual Masquerade, the Idol Showcase returned again for the 2025 convention. An isekai theme was prominently shown around the con floor with plenty of photo ops to choose from!
Thursday of Zenkaikon is a ‘preview’ of sorts for the weekend to come. Attendees may call this Day Zero, as folks typically get settled into the hotel and discuss plans for the adventures ahead!
687: Most Triumphant and Cowabunga!
August 20th, 2025 DJ Ranma S Crunchyroll announces layoffs and a new growth model, a Vice-Minister refuses once more to appear at ComicMarket コミックマーケット, and a plan is in the works for an anime adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera! Also, a senior executive was dismissed from Gungho Online Entertainment for embezzlement. Issues in Indonesia result in the potential for the One Piece flag to be seen as treasonous, and Nike teams up with Yu-Gi-Oh! for an official character-inspired shoe! Meanwhile in Japan, randomize your night with gacha sake, and a reverse maid cafe lets cosplaying customers serve staff instead of the other way around!
Zenkaikon 2025 Part 1: A Smooth Accessibility Experience
August 15th, 2025 Cinna Knight DJ Ranma asked me to write two reports for Zenkaikon. I usually write standalone reports for each event– and this is quite the different but exciting approach! I even started typing on my day home from the con! This initial report will mainly focus on my positive experience with the Accessibility Department at the Zenkaikon. However, I’ll also provide relevant info along the way. More details of my general Zenkaikon experience will be coming soon in a future coverage post.

Meanwhile in Japan, there are no more domestic live action films in Japan’s top 10 highest earning movies, the shape of Pocky is now trademarked, and researchers have bottled newborn baby scent?!
